The Barn House

Designed as two halves, the Barn House was built in 2011 as a country home for a couple starting their family, with plans in place for the house to grow along with them.

Inspired by the simple, robust architecture of old rural sheds in the region, the home was designed with a minimalist approach to form and proportion. The meticulous attention to fine detail and restraint of materiality ground the home in its environment.
